Anthro Home Sale

Anthropologie Hobnail Pitcher $78 & Glasses $8

TGIF. Pass me a glass of that sangria! Some happy news for your weekend... Anthropologie is having 20% off house and home in stores and online. I love their style and they make the mixing and matching easy.

A few of my Anthro items I have Instagrammed over the past couple of months...

I keep this one at my work desk.
This candle is a statement! As it should be for the price. The scent, which I love, fills up my entire apartment. I have smaller versions that I burn more frequently.
Volcano - tropical fruits, sugared oranges, lemons and limes, redolent with lightly exotic mountain greens
They pair well with my Juliska tableware. I was making Giada's Updated Waldorf Salad.
I have a pair of these that I typically use to store tomatoes and onions on the counter. Not Easter candy.

Have a great weekend!

A. Heirloom

A. Heirloom is a Brooklyn based company offering personalized cutting boards. You may have seen their state cutting boards featured on other blogs and magazines. I recently stumbled upon their Massachusetts board again... I love that it comes along with a little Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Each cutting board can be personalized with a heart, house, star, initials and dates.

Cocktail Muddler $18 +

I'm hoping to keep better track of these ideas on my new Gifting Pinterest board.

Wedding in DC

Over the weekend Ted and I headed down to DC for an amazing wedding. Friday night we had dinner at The Hamilton followed by cocktails hosted by the bride and groom, Katherine and Owen, on the rooftop terrace at the Old Ebbitt Grill. We heard it was the best view in town and I certainly believe it. I was upset I didn't have my other camera with me. As the sun was setting we saw a helicopter land on the White House South Lawn, a really cool sight. Here are a few highlights from the weekend...

Dress: Susana Monaco (other colors here). Necklace: Max & Chloe. Bag: Longchamp. Sandals: Jack Rogers.

Touristy Saturday morning. White for the White House! Ted kindly coordinated.

The bride and groom leaving the church as official Mr. and Mrs.! I found this cute picture via their wedding hashtag.

Absolutely stunning!

Upper deck tour ride from the church to the reception. Thankfully I had a lot of hairspray in that poof!

Dress: Nicole Miller.

The reception was held at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium downtown.

The flowers were absolutely breathtaking...

as was the cake! I had seconds :)

Congratulations and best wishes to Katherine and Owen! xo

The Curious Cookie Company

When I saw these cute cookie mix filled mason jars popping up on my Instagram and Facebook I immediately knew I had to spread the word. My college friend Christine recently started The Curious Cookie Company, combining her love of baking and crafting. I'm all for anything that makes baking easier (or should I say possible in my case).. and a mason jar just makes everything look and taste even better.

Make the process of baking homemade cookies fast and easy-- just add the butter and eggs to the jar ingredients, drop heaping teaspoons of dough on a cookie sheet, and bake. Voila! Homemade cookies in minutes.

Small jar makes 1-2 dozen cookies
Large jar makes 3-4 dozen cookies

The mixes are free of preservatives and come in a variety of flavors, classic and "unusual". They all look good to me... it was hard to decide what to try! I think it goes without saying these would make great gifts. Brides-to-be, Christine is able to do custom orders for favors and has additional jar sizes available.

I will be making the Whiteout and Confetti blends soon.... I have no doubt they will be delicious. You will hear back. Loved the packaging! The jars were boxed in silver bubble wrap and tissue paper.
