Eurotrip

In exactly one week Ted and I will be traveling to Europe. Our first stop is London, followed by Munich, Brussels and the grande finale in Paris. I visited Paris when I was younger... I am so excited to finally return.

I wish I could pack for 10 days in a carry on but it's just not happening. I'll be consolidating as much as possible this weekend. Lots of basics and black. I have failed to do much research on what we will actually do upon arrival... any advice would be appreciated. I get overwhelmed each time I start researching... now the trip is almost here!

London
We will be staying at The Savoy. We are only there for 2 days... so need to make it count. My friend kindly gave me two Oyster cards to load upon arrival.

Munich
This is the one city where we have a plan...Oktoberfest. We are meeting up with our friends that live in Germany and a few of our best friends from home. Together we will travel to Brussels and Paris.

Paris
We will be staying at an apartment in the Latin Quarter along with our friends Mike and Kate. Croissants, Macaroons. Wine. People watching. I can't wait.

I'll definitely be visiting City Pharma... I have a long list of French beauty products to get my hands on. That I have done my research.

If you have any tips or recommendations.. please, please share! I really appreciated all of the advice before my Charleston trip back in the spring.

First Anniversary

This past weekend Ted and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary. One year later the cake was still good, if not better! (Cakes By Liz on Martha's Vineyard)

The ginger jar and monogrammed napkin were part of our reception. More pics from our big day here.

Spooning together since September 7, 2013. This cute and thoughtful gift was from my bridesmaid, Kate. You can find them at Spoon Tracker.

I keep this picture of my parents on their first anniversary on my dresser... this inspired me to have our cake cutting captured.

Love you, Ted! xo

Fall Shopping

Me and Daisy, my parent's Sheltie puppy. I want a dog so badly... at least I have one I can visit! I will be seeing her this weekend as it's time for my fall closet switch. I still live like a college student and keep half of my wardrobe at my parents since I have limited closet space in our apartment. I would have serious storage issues if I didn't live nearby.

Here are a few new things I have bought for fall...

Love the style of this jacket, it isn't bulky and will look great with jeans or over casual dresses. It runs small... mine is a medium (usually wear a 0/2).

Madewell Rowhouse Sweater $75 (25% off with code TOPITOFF through 7/8)

Camel sweaters are basically my fall uniform. This has got me thinking that I should order another one... or at least keep an eye on it when it goes on sale further.I will be wearing this with leggings and boots... all fall and winter long.

The Zara plaid scarf. Just get it while you can...

I ordered last year's scarf (before the craze I would like to add) and had to return it because I discovered a hole. Then I saw it on every. single. fashion blog. It drove me absolutely nuts.

You can pick up online orders from Zara in store to waive any shipping fees (I really hate paying for shipping). I like this option because you can return on the spot if needed.

I got these pearl earrings from Bauble Bar, an affordable alternative to Dior's "Mise En Dior" tribal-inspired earrings ($28 vs. $290) as seen on Miss Emma Watson and other celebs. There was a waiting list for them when I initially went to order... but are back in stock.

Yes, I actually bought this because I'm going to Oktoberfest in Munich! What do you think?

And this is just the beginning... more fall picks to come!
