No Beach Days Off

Jacket: Athleta. Fleece Turtleneck: Dudley Stephens. Leggings: Athleta (also love this seamless pair).
Sunglasses: Karen Walker.

Booties: JSlides (also available here, here).

I'm always up for a beach stroll, no matter what time of year. This outfit has been on repeat lately and I can't hide it on Instagram stories, haha. I recently purchased these faux fur lined waterproof sneaker booties from Chou Chou in Rowayton... they are going to be perfect for the winter. Linked above and on sale most places!

Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sales

Black Friday Damage 2017

**I'll be adding to this post if I find more deals worth checking out!**

I've had my turkey and a couple glasses of wine... now that both kids are napping (well one is watching Trolls dozing off) I can bring you the best of the sales. Last year I was happy that I beat Ted home from work that day to explain each item was in a separate box.

Leather Card Case w/ Monogram (similar)  $39.50 $23.70

Lat year I ordered monogrammed card cases from J. Crew for my colleagues and friends (and self).Well, they're back and make a great gifts! Just keep in mind the monogram adds time to shipping.

image via Instagram Stories... it's all I had!

Our Christmas jammies from Roller Rabbit are on sale at Tuckernuck - wish I had waited to order and saved. Even on sale Ted doesn't want in... whatever!

Below I've rounded up what I think are the best and will be updating through Monday!

ANTHROPOLOGIE // 30% off everything

SPANX // 20% off entire site
The faux leather leggings have been popular for a couple years and I had no idea that some versions come in petite. I ordered this camo pair!

-----

ATHLETA // 20% off with code BLISS (ends 11/25)
Yay! They rarely ever have sales... see all of my recent picks here. I have been wearing this jacket on repeat and just started wearing these waterproof sneaker boots.

BEAUFORT BONNET COMPANY // 40% off with code PINKFRIDAY

BEAUTYCOUNTER // 15% off and free shipping over $50 (ends 11/25)
In case you missed it... see all of my picks here.

EGG BABY // 40% off full priced styles with code BIG40
Lexi's has this fox printed dress, purple tulle skirted dress, pink leggings (that go with both dresses) and pink fur coat from the fall collection. They are my favorite pieces in her closet right now!

GAP // 60% off with codes BLKFRIDAY and TREATS
I buy most of Lexi and Chase's clothes at Gap. There are sales all the time (and totally worth getting a GAP card if you shop frequently) but this is definitely the best you'll get on full price. The garter sweater sets and onesies are staples.

J. CREW // 50% off  with code TGIF
I have and love this tartan scarf ... we've already talked about these leather card cases. Ok, just type in "plaid" or "tartan" in the search bar for my picks.

LANDS' END // 50% off full priced items with code STUFFING pin 2242
I recently bought this changing clutch for Chase. I wish that it came with a wipes holder like the Skip Hop version (also on sale) ... both great choices. What I love about this is if you are out and about and don't want to bring your entire bag into the bathroom you can just grab this.

QUAY AUSTRALIA // Buy one get one free with code BOGO
I have and love these (and only $55 to begin with). The aviator styles are also very popular.

SERENA & LILY // 20% off with code GATHER (ends 11/25)
See my favorites here!

SHOPBOP //15% off $200+
I get asked about my Karen Walker sunnies often... bought them on sale here too.

CARTER'S - SKIP HOP // 60% Carter's, 25-50% off Skip Hop plus free shipping
I bought a few of the bottle bags (comes with an ice pack)... the striped comes to only $7.50. There are always sales at Carter's but you an score some great doorbuster deals so I'm going to keep checking (last year I got Lexi snowboots). I already have a couple of the buntings...the sherpa and quilted ... this would be a great gift for newborn winter baby.

I also bought these little duck boots... because why not?! More sizes available here.

TUCKERNUCK // 20% off sitewide, 25% off orders over $500, 30% off orders over $1,000 with code GOWILD (always free shipping, returns and no tax outside of DC)

Tuckernuck always tops my list for sales... admittedly more so for myself not gifts. Typically I order something I have been eyeing and just waiting for a sale (jacket, earrings..). I have weekender bags in my shopping cart for Lexi and Chase... just waiting to see what other sales pop up before I pull the trigger.

Here are some of my top picks from the sales... many that I have already!

Happy Shopping!

Beautycounter Staples (On sale!)

Starting today, Beautycounter is offering 15% off sitewide & free shipping on orders over $50 for Black Friday. This is one of the best sales of the year, so now is the time stock up on any favorites, try something new and shop for gifts. They offer free returns within 60 days if a product doesn't work out for you. As a consultant, I'm happy to answer any questions or help with an order.

Beautycounter's mission is to offer safe skincare and beauty products for the entire family - all of the ingredients are vetted for safety. The company is continuously advocating for awareness and laws in the US beauty industry (for comparison, the EU bans 1,400 ingredients).

Below are my tried and true favorites. I have been an on again off again consultant and these products keep bringing me back!

MY STAPLES

Nourishing Cream Cleanser / Nourishing Cream Exfoliator - I love both of these cleansers equally! They are my favorite products and why I keep coming back to Beautycounter.
Cleansing Balm - I didn't understand the hype of this product until recently... my skin was unusually dry (pregnancy?) and I found this balm to be incredibly hydrating and leaving my skin soft.
No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil - The first oil I ever tried and I keep coming back to it. Like the balm, it's a best seller. I put on over my moisturizer at night.
Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion - My day moisturizer... lightweight but effective.
Countermatch Recovery Sleeping Cream - My night moisturizer... I go back and forth between their night creams but this is my current favorite!
Lip Gloss - Peony is one of my everyday shades.
Baby Soothing Oil - I have used this on both Lexi and Chase in place of a lotion as newborns and given to many moms-to-be.

I used to love to receive and give sets... but then I realized my money was generally better spent on individual products. So many things went unused. I promise that is not the case with this set... it includes all of my favorites plus a mask (one of my favorite little luxuries to give). Oh, and the boxes are great you just need to tie a ribbon!

Gifts for Him

Gifts for the guys is always the most challenging, at least for me and my friends. So think of it this way... Christmas is a great opportunity to buy something for your husband that you want him to wear but he won't buy for himself (ex. needlepoint belt,  fleece in a new color) or have been begging him to replace (Ex. wallet, socks). This list is Ted approved...

Great for every guy on your list... because most can't find the pair from last year.
Can't go wrong with this, unless you pick the wrong team. Also available here and here.... and with all the sales you can snag this for around $15. It's a great size to bring on the go.
I've been encouraging Ted to buy his favorite fleece in a new color... but I will just have to buy it for him.
Shop small! These ball markers from a husband-wife run small biz make a perfect stocking stuffer.
Attn: Fellow Golf Widows - I bought this for Ted several years ago and it hasn't been topped yet...
Obviously you have to get them monogrammed!
These heavy duty functional coolers come in many sizes. The Tundra 45 would be my pick, which holds ice plus 26 cans.
This is a great hybrid wallet/money clip.
Quick showed this to be the newest and is an "Amazon's Choice" product so must be popular.
This 10ft long iPhone charger has a weighted knot for anchoring. Ted is always moving chargers around the house and it drives me crazy...
Needlepoint belts are always on my gift guides... classic!

Gifts for him always seem to be the most challenging... would love to know what's on your list, comment below!

Holiday Cards with Minted

Next week we will be heading to Cape Cod to spend Thanksgiving with Ted's family. I am hoping that we can take a photo while we are up there to use for our holiday card. If you are spending time with family, take advantage of having them around for a photo shoot - not only as photographers but helping to position the kids and assist while trying to get the perfect (but impossible) shot. Even if you have a professional shoot scheduled, it can't hurt to try on your own. And if you were recently married.... lucky you, now to pick from the many professional shots you already have!

Below are some of my favorite designs from Minted's holiday collection with photos from our cards over the past few years. I typically keep it simple but it's no surprise I am loving the new plaid designs! I have used Minted for years for announcements, invitations and holiday cards... my favorite feature is the address book and complimentary addressed envelopes. The font of the addressed envelope coordinates with the card and is such a great detail. Once you take the time to save all of your addresses you will be set for years to come (I'm going on 6). I also love how easy it is to upload a photo to preview different designs with your photo.

"Happiest Holidays" is my favorite messaging.

This design comes in several color combinations... my favorite!

I love this simple and classic design to feature a wedding photo.

Weekending Athleisure

Me - Jacket: Athleta. Leggings: Athleta. Sunglasses: Karen Walker. Bag: MZ Wallace. // Lexi - Dress: Egg by Susan Lazar. Leggings: Egg by Susan Lazar. Jacket: Gap. Sneakers: Converse. // Chase - Hoodie: Gap.  Car Seat. UPPAbaby.

We had a low key weekending around town. We brought Lexi to an event with the Critter Caravan - she passed on the opportunity to pet the chinchilla, gecko, bunny, hedgehog and snake but I can't really blame her. (I was secretly hoping to get a Britney-esque picture of her holding the snake.) That night we had a friendsgiving celebration and Sunday we watched the Pats lose with our neighbors.

I've been holding back on getting many new clothes but was in need of some workout wear/athleisure. I know everything will fit even after I lose the baby weight. Last year around this time I did an event with Athleta in Greenwich and ever since I have been hooked on their styles. I am 5'2" and had trouble finding leggings that were the perfect length until I discovered their 7/8 length. I have been wearing this pair over the past year and just picked up the jacquard style. I have this camo pair in my shopping cart, which will be great for spin. They all transition from barre to bar (or just wearing every day).

I'm in love with this sherpa jacket that I'm wearing above- it has the sleeves of a sweatshirt and just roomy enough fit... tempted to get the other color too. I also picked up this cozy top.

Below are some of the items I already have and others I loved when I tried on. (Unfortunately they don't have sales often but if you are a Gap cardholder there are rewards and benefits.) I threw in the Corkcicle because it's gone everywhere with me since I bought it and these sneakers my friend just bought that are waterproof. She commutes to the city and wanted something cute and functional for winter- nailed it.

1. Brewster Belt Martha's Vineyard Belt $175

I love when KJP and Sarah Vickers document their Vineyard adventures. All of my favorite sweatshirts are gray. Also available for the Cape, ACK
3. ASHA by ADM Martha's Vineyard Pendant $195
Other styles can been seen here. Also available for the Cape and ACK

8. The Black Dog Classic Mug $10
What gift guide doesn't include a mug? Chances are high the Vineyarder already has this one... but it's always nice to get a fresh one or build a set. In all seriousness... out of the gazillion mugs I own this is one of my favorites.
9. Cottage City Oysters $100+
Martha's Vineyard Oysters shipped overnight to your doorstep in 24-hours! Just make sure the recipient is up for shucking them, ha.
