Five on Friday

#1 - I can't believe it's been over a month since my trip to Europe. I had to post at least one picture of me and Kate kicking off Oktoberfest celebrations before November! The recap is coming... eventually.

# 2 - Forever 21 is having a Friends & Family - 20% with code F21FRIEND. I have this plaid coat, and also just recently bought this dress. While you are at it, throw in a plaid scarf.

#3 - I recently tried a free trial of Blue Apron, a service that delivers pre-portioned ingredients and recipes. It is $59.99 per week for 3 meals to serve 2 people. The menu is available in advance and you can cancel if you're away or the recipes aren't appealing to you.

I like to try new recipes but hate having leftover groceries that go to waste because I don't know what to do with them. Problem solved.

It's not cheap.
Some of the recipes require more prep than others, so I wouldn't say this is a "quick" meal fix.
I feel like I use every bowl I own... lots of dishes.

Has anyone else tried Blue Apron?

#4 - I finally started watching Orange is the New Black on Netflix after reading the book recently. (Honestly, I didn't even know the series was based on a book.) I was bummed that I couldn't find a Litchfield inmate costume... but that's what I get for waiting until the last minute. Oktoberfest attire it will be.

# 5 - Last but not least... Happy Halloween!

Thanks to April, ChristinaDarci, and Natasha for hosting this linkup.

Pats Game

Jacket: Piperlime (similar). Sweater: Gap. Jeans: AG. Scarf: Forever 21. Boots: Nine West. Bag: Ziploc (NFL stadium rules... ugh).

It's official... I am now a Pats fan. Sorry, Giants! Marriage....
(Baseball is another story... I will forever be rooting for the Yankees.) I gave Ted tickets to the Pats vs. Bears game as a first anniversary gift. Not bad for paper, right?

I found the tickets on TickPick (similar to Stubhub but without fees for buyers), a company that was started by a fellow Lehigh alum. I have also bought concert tickets and highly recommend you check them out if you are in the market for event tickets. The site ranks ticket based on location and price to help you identify the best deal.

Go Brady!

My scarf doubled as a blanket when it got chilly. It was only $12 from Forever 21.

I am in love with this Gap Eversoft drop shoulder sweater. I have it in gray and mushroom... on sale now.

Ted and I made an agreement that if I became a Pats fan he would buy me whatever gear I wanted. I passed on the "Spirit Fingerz"... unfortunately not iPhone compatible.

Weekend on the Cape

My view from the Chatham Bars Inn this past weekend while spending time on the Cape with Ted and his family. My sister-in-law was visiting from across the country with our beautiful niece. We have been waiting anxiously since March to meet her!

How cute is she?!

Jacket: Piperlime (similar). Top: Madewell. Boots: Frye. Bag: MZ Wallace.

Obligatory photo with Lilly Pulitzer Jeep Wrangler at in the pink.

Strolling downtown...

Wine tasting at Chatham Wine + Provisions. One of my favorite stops on Main Street.

Love these M.W. Coastal Goods bottle openers. Too early to think about stocking stuffers?

Ted and Charlotte at Pumpkin People in the Park.

Love her anchor hat.

Wish I could end every day walking on the beach!

Work Totes

Kicking off the work week (sorry if you didn't have yesterday off too) with work bags. Here is a selection of popular totes that are versatile for the office, or class if you're lucky enough to still be in school, and running around after hours.

From top, left to right

MZ Wallace Sutton $225
(25% off with code FAMILY25 through 10/16 at Shopbop)
This bag is on my wishlist. One of my colleagues has it in a slate color... seeing hers everyday makes me want one too.

I am currently using this bag in avocado. It's also served well as a travel bag.

Longchamp Le Pliage Large $145
(25% off with code FRNFAM through 10/19 at Saks)
I've featured this bag countless times because it's so versatile. Make it unique with your monogram.. I brought mine to my monogram lady to customize.

Lo & Sons O.M.G. $245
(20% off  $150+ with code FALLFRIENDS14)
This bag is constantly featured on blogs. The "Overnight and Medium Gym", aka O.M.G., has an organized inside and a back panel to slip over luggage handles.

Madewell Transport Tote $168
(25% off with code FAMILY25 through 10/16 at Shopbop)
Keep it simple. Another blogosphere favorite.

Splurgeworthy. It amazes me how much this bag can hold with its thin straps. I have the medium size and would love the next one up to fit my laptop.

My Boulevard bag in avocado.

FYI, Shopbop's Friends & Family sale is on through 10/16 - 25% with code FAMILY25. Perfect timing for a new bag!

Is it Friday yet?
