Estée Lauder and Lilly Pulitzer

Good news in the mail this week... Estée Lauder and Lilly Pulitzer have joined together for a gift collaboration. The first limited edition set is available December 26 at Lord & Taylor with $45 qualifying purchase and other sets will debut in February at EstéeLauder.com and Dillard's.

I saw the Lord & Taylor mailer before I read about this on the Lilly blog. This is the best picture of the set I could find.

EstéeLauder.com - Sometime in February

Dillard's - Sometime in February

The other patterns... which do you like best?

Here are a few of the Estée Lauder products I am currently using. I was matched for this foundation last year and nothing else has compared since. If you prefer medium to full coverage, give this a try.

Do you have any Estée Lauder favorites? Please share!

Strike A Pose

New Year... new workout routine. I bought myself a series of yoga classes for Christmas. I've taken classes here and there and hope to make it part of my routine in 2013. I need some Om in my life!

Of course I immediately start thinking about new gear...

Cape Madras Cottage Yoga Ball $240
My Custom Yoga Mat $40
Copco Hydra Bottle $8.99
I saw this on an Oprah gift guide. The middle twists off so you can add ice cubes or lemon.
C9 by Champion Women's Premium Top $22.94
C9 by Champion Women's Fashion Capri Tight $24.99
Twistband Apple Headband $4

lululemon.... stereotypical yogi must have workout wear. I might need this.

While I was "researching" for this post I came across an article on Desk Yoga. I wonder if anyone will notice my rag doll pose at the printer?

Last summer I took a few classes at yoga haven on the Vineyard. I will definitely be fitting this into my trips next year... maybe a session on the beach the morning of the wedding? After all, I want to be a Zen Bride... not a Bridezilla.

Calling all yogis... tell me about your routine!

Wedding Wednesday

via
If you didn't know, I am a Bachelor fanatic and have been watching the show for years. Did anyone tune in to The Bachelorette: Ashley and JP's Wedding on Sunday night? The wedding was up against the Patriots game, so there was no way I was going to see it as it originally aired. I finally watched it last night.

Dress: Randi Rahm

What did you think of Ashley's look? I am a fan of the sleeves and open back. I was nervous for her walking down the steps and aisle... that was a lot of dress!

Heels: Manolo Blahnik Hangisi
(Same style, special order blush color ... can't find a picture online yet)

Bling bling. What's not to like about her Neil Lane earrings.

Let's take a look back at Bachelor wedding fashion...

Trista & Ryan, 2003
Dress: Badgley Mischka
Heels: Stuart Weitzman

It's been 9 years.... I just remember a lot of pink. Her shoes remind me of the style I wore to prom that year, except mine were definitely not $50,000 or encrusted in diamonds.

Molly & Jason, 2010
Dress: Monique Lhuillier

Gorgeous. I loved her cascading bouquet.

I will never forget when Molly's custom Manolo Blahnik's were presented on a tray. It's one of my favorite Bachelor moments. Mr. Blahnik, I'd love the same pair in navy.

I wish I had been a bridesmaid, because they all got a pair too.

Which Bachelor/Bachelorette wedding fit your style? What colors did you like best? Any memorable moments?

As for my own wedding update... I picked out my dress on Saturday. I have dreamed of wearing a Monique Lhuillier design on my big day for years... and lucky for me the style I had in mind worked out perfectly. I was in and out of The Plumed Serpent Bridal in Westport in under two hours. The owner Alison and the Monique Lhuillier consultant were both helpful. Great experience!

SOREL/OnlineShoes.com Contest

Boots: SOREL Conquest Carly. Jacket: J. Crew. Sweater: LOFT.

I received this awesome pair of SOREL boots courtesy of OnlineShoes.com. They were a great boot for the fall and will continue to get much use as we head into the winter months. I recently wore them when Ted and I went to harvest our Christmas tree. When it snows in Connecticut, my feet will be ready!

Me and Darcy ... doesn't she look good for 15?

SOREL Conquest Carly $219.95 $197.97

These are my favorite out of the SOREL women's boots and they also come in a short version. I love how they have a stacked heel and don't look clunky like some rugged boots do. Functional and stylish! They can be easily transitioned for the cold with a pair of warm socks. SOREL's have a great reputation for durability, so I know I will enjoy these for years to come.

Now I need your help...
Please head over to OnlineShoes.com and vote for me in this month's shoe styling contest. You can also enter to win a pair!

Voting ends 12/28 - one vote per household

I appreciate your support!

Fame

Notes: Belladonna, Incense, Apricot, Honey Drops, Tiger Orchidea, Jasmin Sambac

Probably not the fragrance you would expect to see on Vineyard Loveknots. I received Lady Gaga's Fame to try courtesy of People StyleWatch. I had a few to choose from and read good reviews of Fame online. In all honesty, based on the marketing and interviews surrounding its debut I probably would not have been sold on trying it. Thankfully we have the internet for research. I have to agree with reviewers that it is pleasant and not as edgy as I would have expected. Verdict... it's a keeper!

It is the first black perfume that sprays on clear. Gaga warns that you shouldn't wear Fame unless you want to seduce someone... ha.

My friend Danielle and I met Lady Gaga back in 2008 at Z100's Jingle Ball, the year she released her first single Just Dance. I highly doubt we would have been able to get this picture today.

Do you have a favorite celebrity fragrance? This is the first I have had since Britney Spear's Curious and Fantasy.

Daily

Last weekend I saw this One Line A Day: A Five Year Memory Book at the stationery store where I picked out my wedding invitations. There is also a Mom's One Line A Day version - cute shower gift!

images via Pottery Barn

Would you be up for the challenge? I think this would be great to look back on especially if you begin at a milestone (college, first job, marriage, first home).

On a similar note, one of my friends keeps a Google doc where she writes down events/thoughts each day. I thought this digital diary was a great idea and kept it up for a couple months earlier this year. Each morning before I settled into my work I took 5 minutes while drinking my coffee to reflect on what I did the day before and most importantly noted how I was feeling. Combined with my agenda that is filled with appointments and to-do's it helped me feel more organized, make better use of my time and focus on what makes me happy. Starting this again today!

Boo

It was a rainy and cold weekend... I just want to stay curled up in bed like Boo. I crave all of these things this time of the year... cozy scarves, sweaters,  cappuccinos and treats. (Substituting the cinnamon bun shower gel for the real deal to cut calories... I'll be trying on wedding dresses soon!)

Happy weekending. See you Monday!

Berry Good

I added some (fake) red berries to my hurricane to give it a holiday twist. Ted's mom brought me this arrangement... she knows I love pink and green! Here are Martha's Stewart tips for utilizing real cranberries as a flower frog (I didn't know it had a name). The soy candle is Hollyberry from where else, Target.

I have been wearing Rekha by Zoya for the past few weeks. It is a deeper, classic red. It matches my arrangements.

I bought this popular bottle of strawberry wine after harvesting our Christmas tree on Sunday at Jones Winery. They suggested serving over frozen strawberries. Yum! (Random side note...I love the song Strawberry Wine by Deanna Carter.)

O Christmas Tree

Over the weekend Ted and I traveled north to Shelton, CT to Jones Family Farms to harvest our own Christmas tree. I overheard my colleagues talking about it on Friday and thought it would be fun since I've never cut my own before. Ted's parents were visiting and came along. After scouting out trees for 30 minutes Ted's dad spotted the one we brought home.

Ready to saw.

Surprise, Ted did most of the work.

This was not staged, I did take care of a few branches.

(I usually only wear the mini backpack to amusement parks, occasionally a fitness class or something. Is this on the same level as a fanny pack? I found this funny article on Glamour, Fashion Flashback: Let's Talk Mini Backpacks. I think of Cher every time I wear mine... and will not part with it haha.)

Pullover: aerie. Backpack: Prada (90's). Jeans: Forever 21. Boots: Sorel (c/o OnlineShoes.com).

Ted's dad in the background reminding us that he found the keeper!

Our 8-foot tree looked mini next to the monster in front of us.

After cutting down the tree and securing it to the car we stopped at their winery for a tasting. I'm happy to report it is up in the living room and ready to be decorated. We stopped by Target to pick up some lights and they were all out of what I wanted. They did still have everything from the Neiman Marcus collection. Go figure.

Have you ever harvested your own tree? Any good stories? My colleague's tree went missing after it was baled and they found it on top of another car!
