Martha's Vineyard Travel Guide - Now Live!

Finally, my Martha's Vineyard Travel Guide is live! I have been providing these tips to friends and colleagues over the years and realized it should have a home here on Vineyard Loveknots. I hope that it will come in handy for your future trip to the island. I'll be continuously updating it with my recommendations and I'm happy to answer any questions.

What to wear for a September weekend on the Vineyard? My friend and talented fashion designer Lindsay Lorente lent her hand to illustrate the perfect outfit for my guide. See more and get the details on her site, Fashion Freehand. (I want that Bec & Bridge dress!)

Check out the guide here
For my readers that visit the Vineyard, I would love to hear your feedback and favorite places.

Just add PSL

I know, this outfit is missing a pumpkin spice latte. And aviators. Otherwise, I believe I have the "basics" covered. The booties are interchangeable with riding boots (loving these).

I'm finding that everything I want to buy for fall looks like a better version of something I already own. At least I know it works and Ted won't question if it's new and how much, haha. Time for a bootie upgrade! I'm patiently waiting for some Friends & Family sales.

Exhibit A: Fall 2014 Patriots Game.

Exhibit B: Fall 2013 Sunday Funday.

Another year, another pair of ripped jeans. I have managed to destroy a couple by putting my foot through the thigh or knee hole. I swear I try to be careful! I'm partial to AG but am open to exploring some reinforced options to prevent another accident. Suggestions welcome.

Before I sign off, I want to share one of my new fall items. I had never heard of Rails until Gisele wore one of their plaid shirts to the Superbowl and sent New England fan girls into a tizzy. This classic plaid will look great under that green military jacket, ladies! Get your hands on it for  50% off.

I have yet to have my first PSL. Anyone out there beat me to it?

Travers Stakes

Last weekend Ted and I traveled to Saratoga Springs in Upstate New York. Ever since seeing The Real Housewives of New York at the Saratoga Race Course last year I have wanted to visit. Our friend Mike had been to the town and track several times for work events and suggested that we make a couples trip for the annual Travers Stakes. We planned back in early spring and the weekend finally arrived.

Ted and I love watching the Triple Crown races so were especially excited when it confirmed that American Pharoah would be racing. Now I know why they call Saratoga Springs the "Graveyard of Champions" ... sadly American Pharoah was unable to top his Triple Crown victory with Travers.

Mike and Kate discussing their bets.

Our first winning trifecta bet!

After emptying our cooler (I love that the track is still BYOB) in the general admission section we moved to the clubhouse to see the action at the finishing line.

Ladies in Lilly. Kate found her track dress at The Pink Paddock, a Lilly Pulitzer signature store, downtown.

I think we have a new tradition in the making. We were already talking about visiting next year!
