Summer Six

1. Supergoop! Forever Young Body Butter SPF40
This is a great 2-in-1 everyday lotion and sunscreen. From recent pictures at the beach you can tell I definitely haven't gotten much sun (my skin matches my white shorts)... it works.

2. bkr Elle Glass Water Bottle
I've wanted this water bottle for awhile... have yet to splurge on it. Need to remind myself to drink even more water than usual since I'm expecting!

3. Oliver Thomas Wingwoman Large Tote (you can also purchase locally in Darien or online at Kirby & Company)
I asked Ted to buy this for me for Mother's Day after seeing it featured in Kirby's gift idea post and he delivered. It's VERY bright! You can purchase decals to personalize, I have an orange B in the center. I love that there is an outside pocket (perfect for keys/cell phone) and also hidden compartments inside (great for traveling).

4. Sperry Seaside Perforated Sneaker
These slip on sneakers are SO comfortable and I've already gotten so much wear out of them. The best part is they are breathable and have a moisture-wicking lining, so your feet won't get sweaty in the summer. A great alternative to the Vince Blair style.

5. Lilly Pulitzer Catch the Wave Phone Case
The perfect summer phone case.

6. Birkenstock Arizona Soft Footbed in Copper
I bought these for Disney World back in March for a comfortable (non flip-flop) to wear around the park. The look has definitely grown on me.... I take back making fun of my BFF for wearing them. This color is sold out many places, but I linked where I saw the most options in stock.

Jacket: Barbour. Maternity/Nursing Sweater: Teat & Cosset (also available at Mia Tango).
Tote: Oliver Thomas. Maternity Shorts: A Pea in the Pod. Sandals: Birkenstocks.

Wearing my new bag and Birks out shopping on a rainy day last weekend. I hope this was the last time pulling out my Barbour jacket until the fall.

Anyone else all about the accessories right now?

Scenes from the Weekend / Memorial Day

Lexi's Dress: Smocked Auctions. Sandals: Salt Water Sandals. Bow: Wee Ones.
Cardigan: Eddie Bauer. Maternity Tank: Old Navy. Maternity Shorts: A Pea in the Pod. Sunglasses: Céline.

Usually we visit the Cape for Memorial Day Weekend but decided this year to keep it low key and stay home in Connecticut. I've been completely exhausted lately and was dreading the idea of packing and sitting in traffic.

Dress: Magic Balloon (by Petit Peony). Bow: Wee Ones. Jellies: Gap. Chair: RIO Gear

We kicked off the long weekend by meeting up with friends for happy hour at the beach. I bought this lobster dress for Lexi last summer and had it personalized by Monogram Mary.

Dress: Gap.

On Saturday we went to Darien Nature Center's Down on the Farm event. It was so hot and Lexi didn't want anything to do with the animals outside. Maybe next year...

Sunday was rainy so we spent the day getting a few things done around the house and I was able to get a little shopping in. Our friends that live in the city came to visit on Memorial Day. Thankfully the weather turned around so we were able to enjoy an early pizza dinner at the beach, which we surprisingly had to ourselves. Much easier to keep up an eye on our toddlers.

I just realized I never did a post other than Instagram on my pregnancy! I definitely started a draft (a few times) and never finished. Oops. Well... here I am at 23 weeks. More on my second pregnancy, maternity clothes and what I'm planning for Baby B #2 to come.

Finally, summer!

Scenes from the Weekend

Lexi's Jacket: Saint James (NRO Edgartown)

Saturday morning was off to an early start with the royal wedding followed by volunteering for a local charity. I had immediate regrets when scrolling through Instagram that I didn't have a proper viewing party (for myself) with tea and scones. Lexi had no interest in watching... I was trying to explain that she could have a chance with Prince George but she wasn't having it. I didn't get to watch the entire ceremony as we were off to help with OPUS for Person-to-Person Balloons for Campers Day.

Once we finished hanging balloons on mailboxes in recognition for donations our typical weekend kicked off. We've been taking Lexi to swim lessons on Saturday morning. Ted goes in the pool with her and I'm on the bench. She knows we'll head to Starbucks after class, and the promise of a cake pop is the only thing that will force her out of the pool.

Pajamas: Roller Rabbit. Play mat: Little Nomad. Kitchen: KidKraft. Baking Set: KidKraft.

Lexi's sweet babysitter gave her this baking set for her birthday and it was a huge hit. She always has one of those cookies or cupcakes in hand around the house. (I was cleaning up the other night and couldn't find a piece of the set... I was going crazy. I know this needs to stop, losing toys is inevitable, but I get overly emotional when pieces go missing.)

I got a few messages on Instagram stories about the play mat in my family room. I learned about the mats from the UES Mommas Facebook group and bought it when Lexi was about 6 months, shortly after they hit the market. It's held up pretty well (except Lexi will remove the border pieces and bend them.. they dent easily) and fits right in with our decor.

Dress: Gap. Jellies: Gap. Bow: Wee Ones (Wiggles and Giggles in Darien).

We make at least one stop to either Home Depot or a local gardening shop each weekend. Lexi's cake pop sugar high will peak during these trips. At least the pictures of me chasing her around are cute. We picked out planters from Nielsen's and decided on hydrangeas, petunias and ivy. At the end of the season we'll plant the hydrangeas somewhere in the backyard.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Blue and White Al Fresco

Ted and I moved into our house last August but since were traveling and had so much going on we didn't get the chance to enjoy our patio and entertain. Now that we finally have a table and grill I'm reading to host, blue and white style! I have a few of the items above (the napkins and champagne bucket) and my eye on the rest.

Crate & Barrel and Reese Witherspoon's Draper James have a collaboration going on with stripes and gingham. William Sonoma Home is also a go to for browsing blue and white, especially the AERIN collection.

Target has French bistro seating available at great prices. Thanks to a tip from a friend, I bought the folding chair version for extra seating (both inside and out). I was impressed with quality and they look like they will hold up. If I hadn't just bought a new outdoor set I would get the arm chairs as well! There is a also a 3-piece set available, which would be great if you have a balcony (where was this when I lived in an apartment).

A few blue and white tablescapes for inspiration ... I just want it all!
