Hello hello! Writing to you from... you guessed it! I'm on the Vineyard until Tuesday. Much needed vacation.

The weather today was gorgeous. Teddy and I arrived on the island around 4 and took his dog Skipper on a long walk.

I went to Targét yesterday to pick up some toiletries for the trip and also walked out with these white shorts. Already wearing them! (With a PINK shirt, looks washed out above!) If you're on the hunt for a pair that aren't super see-through you've got a winner here. One of those things I'm always looking for and find where I least expect.

To kick off the vacation we went to dinner at Lattanzi's, an Italian restaurant, in Edgartown. Chianti, mussels, ravioli ... yum, yum, yum!

Floral Forever Find

Hope you had a great weekend! I picked up this floral top on a quick Forever 21 run on my lunch break Friday. The store in Times Square is 4 floors and can be overwhelming but the pretty pattern and little covered buttons caught my eye.

A Girl's On Course Survival Guide to Golf by Christina Ricci

Today's Pink and Green Thursday is focused on my newish hobby, golf. Growing up I played lacrosse, a sport that came naturally to me. Summer camps at Duke and winter training at Yale certainly helped. If only my parents could send me to golf lessons now! Not happening. Instead, I bought this book last year to supplement my training sessions from my boyfriend and have scheduled a few lessons. I find the book really helpful for refreshers and definitely recommend it!

Love mommy-to-be Selma Blair in her Jack Rogers! She looks fabulous. Boy or girl? Looks like we will be finding out very soon.

I am finally part of the lululemon athletica club. I got a pair of the Wonder Under Crop pants in black. Pricey... but hope they are worth it and last a long time. The waistband has a pocket to fit a card or keys, love that! What do you think of lululemon? I swear I never go a day without seeing someone with one of their reusable bags.

Ramen and Ice Cream

 

Ted is moving to the Upper East Side in a few days so we had to hit our favorite places on his last East Village weekend. On Sunday night we went to Ippudo, an amazing Japanese ramen restaurant. I know it will only be a subway ride away, but no longer will we be able to hang out in his apartment during the hour wait. There is ALWAYS a line!

Hirata Pork Buns 

(Just about every review mentions these "clouds" - you must try them!)

Steamed buns filled with your choice of pork, chicken, or shrimp served with Ippudo original spicy buns sauce

Akamaru Modern 

(One of the most popular and my favorite of the ramen noodle dishes.)

The original "Tonkotsu" noodle soup topped with Ippudo's secret "Umami Dama" miso paste, pork chashu, cabage, kikurage, scallions, and fragrant garlic oil

Save room for desert. Around the corner is Sundaes and Cones, Ted's favorite ice cream shop. (If he had Foursquare, he would be the mayor.) You can be adventurous and try one of their unique flavors like avacado, or stick to a classic like cookies 'n cream.

If you are ever in NYC, I highly recommend you give Ippudo a try! I promise you will have to wait, but it's worth it.

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have always intrigued me. (I'm singing the Full House theme song in my head now!) They have kept a fairly low profile over the years considering their popularity, I always love reading about them and what they're up to. The last photo by Bruce Weber is from a March feature in Vogue where they discuss their latest fashion venture, The Row.

Loving my Yankees vs. Red Sox rivalry with Ted. Here we are at my house, Yankee Stadium, last week. He was brave enough to wear his Boston hat in the bleacher section. I have been heckled worse at Fenway. Unfortunately there was a rain delay and we left after waiting 2 hours. The Yanks are a couple games behind so time for me to step in and cheer some more. GO YANKEEEESSSSSS!!

Loving my new white iPhone! I couldn't wait any longer. I still have a Blackberry for work and am trying to juggle both devices. Would love to hear your app suggestions... beyond the basics I have downloaded a bunch.

I've been really lazy downloading music and charging my iPod this year. Problem solved now with iPhone. I always used LimeWire and since that's a thing of the past I have now finally succumbed to purchasing from iTunes. I love love love the latest Jason Aldean album and "Dirt Road Anthem Remix" with Ludacris. If I like a song I will listen to it on repeat for hours... just ask my college roommate.

Vera Bradley Garment Bag and Large Duffel and in Night and Day

You can't go wrong with this travel combo! This Vera Bradley luggage set belongs to my friend Kate. I loved the garment bag, and after she raved about hers I had to get one too. I was lucky to snag one on sale in Calypso, a navy blue pattern, while I was on the Vineyard. I didn't mind that my duffel didn't match but the current Vera Bradley sale quickly changed my mind. Set complete.
