Hello hello! Writing to you from... you guessed it! I'm on the Vineyard until Tuesday. Much needed vacation.

The weather today was gorgeous. Teddy and I arrived on the island around 4 and took his dog Skipper on a long walk.

I went to Targét yesterday to pick up some toiletries for the trip and also walked out with these white shorts. Already wearing them! (With a PINK shirt, looks washed out above!) If you're on the hunt for a pair that aren't super see-through you've got a winner here. One of those things I'm always looking for and find where I least expect.

To kick off the vacation we went to dinner at Lattanzi's, an Italian restaurant, in Edgartown. Chianti, mussels, ravioli ... yum, yum, yum!

Hoping to catch up on my blog reading while relaxing in the sun. In case I don't check in, have a wonderful Fourth. This is one of my favorite times of the year. What's your plan? Cheers!

Floral Forever Find

Hope you had a great weekend! I picked up this floral top on a quick Forever 21 run on my lunch break Friday. The store in Times Square is 4 floors and can be overwhelming but the pretty pattern and little covered buttons caught my eye.

Reminds me of the many beautiful flowers cascading over picket fences along the streets of Edgartown on the Vineyard.

Here's on of my snapshots while walking to town during my visit over Memorial Day. Who doesn't love a scenic stroll?!

Happy Birthday Corinne!

You are such a great friend and always make me laugh. From formal to sport, I can always count on you for outfit coordination.

Friday's Fancies

Happy Friday! Linking up with {av} for Friday's Fancies to dream up an outfit for my night out this weekend at the Jersey shore. Inspired by one of the hot spots you may have seen on MTV... Bamboo!

I actually picked out the jewelry first... then thought of the club. I guess that is where my subconscious is telling me to go out. Not exactly my scene... but always a good time!

I will take everything from the John Hardy Bamboo Collection. Love love love!

Had to throw in this little guy. Pandas are my fav. Visit {long distance loving} for more Friday's Fancies and vote for your favorite. Have a great weekend!

Pink and Green Thursday: Fore!

Today's Pink and Green Thursday is focused on my newish hobby, golf. Growing up I played lacrosse, a sport that came naturally to me. Summer camps at Duke and winter training at Yale certainly helped. If only my parents could send me to golf lessons now! Not happening. Instead, I bought this book last year to supplement my training sessions from my boyfriend and have scheduled a few lessons. I find the book really helpful for refreshers and definitely recommend it!

What I'm Loving...

via Instagram
Cuban tapas call for a Cuban highball. While dining at Agozar on Friday night I sipped on a delicious classic mojito. Love this minty cocktail!

via People
Love mommy-to-be Selma Blair in her Jack Rogers! She looks fabulous. Boy or girl? Looks like we will be finding out very soon.

I am finally part of the lululemon athletica club. I got a pair of the Wonder Under Crop pants in black. Pricey... but hope they are worth it and last a long time. The waistband has a pocket to fit a card or keys, love that! What do you think of lululemon? I swear I never go a day without seeing someone with one of their reusable bags.

The countdown is over... loving that it is officially SUMMER. I'm headed "down the shore" with my girlfriends this weekend. Jersey, here we come. Cheers!

Ramen and Ice Cream

Ted is moving to the Upper East Side in a few days so we had to hit our favorite places on his last East Village weekend. On Sunday night we went to Ippudo, an amazing Japanese ramen restaurant. I know it will only be a subway ride away, but no longer will we be able to hang out in his apartment during the hour wait. There is ALWAYS a line!

Hirata Pork Buns
(Just about every review mentions these "clouds" - you must try them!)
Steamed buns filled with your choice of pork, chicken, or shrimp served with Ippudo original spicy buns sauce

Akamaru Modern
(One of the most popular and my favorite of the ramen noodle dishes.)
The original "Tonkotsu" noodle soup topped with Ippudo's secret "Umami Dama" miso paste, pork chashu, cabage, kikurage, scallions, and fragrant garlic oil

Save room for desert. Around the corner is Sundaes and Cones, Ted's favorite ice cream shop. (If he had Foursquare, he would be the mayor.) You can be adventurous and try one of their unique flavors like avacado, or stick to a classic like cookies 'n cream.

If you are ever in NYC, I highly recommend you give Ippudo a try! I promise you will have to wait, but it's worth it.

Friday's Fancies

via The Drawn Blank Series by Bob Dylan
Yay for Friday! Linking up with {av} for Friday's Fancies with my weekend dream outfit. I'll be in the city and would love to wear this out to brunch and strolling around the Village.

While I want everything, if I had to choose one thing from the ensemble it would definitely be the Hermès Kelly watch. A girl can dream! Visit {av} for more at Long Distance Loving and vote for which outfit strikes your "fancy."

And I just couldn't leave for the weekend without including this tidbit...

Miss Britney Spears was spotted with her crew shopping at the True Prep pop-up store in LA last week. If you missed it, my pictures from the NYC stop are here. Cheers!

Pink and Green Thursday: Mary Kate and Ashley

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have always intrigued me. (I'm singing the Full House theme song in my head now!) They have kept a fairly low profile over the years considering their popularity, I always love reading about them and what they're up to. The last photo by Bruce Weber is from a March feature in Vogue where they discuss their latest fashion venture, The Row.

Today's twin post today was inspired by my friend Kate's nieces - Isabella is in pink and Gabriella is sporting the green. Too cute!

What I'm Loving...

via Instagram
Loving my Yankees vs. Red Sox rivalry with Ted. Here we are at my house, Yankee Stadium, last week. He was brave enough to wear his Boston hat in the bleacher section. I have been heckled worse at Fenway. Unfortunately there was a rain delay and we left after waiting 2 hours. The Yanks are a couple games behind so time for me to step in and cheer some more. GO YANKEEEESSSSSS!!

Loving my new white iPhone! I couldn't wait any longer. I still have a Blackberry for work and am trying to juggle both devices. Would love to hear your app suggestions... beyond the basics I have downloaded a bunch.
  • WhatsApp
  • Pandora
  • ESPN ScoreCenter
  • People Celeb News - Cape Cod Collegiate recently talked up this "gem" and I agree it's $1.99 well spent.
  • PopSugar
  • Instragram
  • Hipstamatic
  • Words with Friends - I don't particularly like to play games but am willing to try this due to popularity.
  • HeyTell - Similar to push to talk. My friend Amanda is obsessed with it and swears it will be the next big thing. Loving it!
  • MyFitnessPal - Writing down everything you eat is eye opening. I am a fan of the website so happy I can finally use the app.
  • Nike Training Club - My friend said this will kick your butt. Have you given any workouts a try?
  • Tell me more!!

I've been really lazy downloading music and charging my iPod this year. Problem solved now with iPhone. I always used LimeWire and since that's a thing of the past I have now finally succumbed to purchasing from iTunes. I love love love the latest Jason Aldean album and "Dirt Road Anthem Remix" with Ludacris. If I like a song I will listen to it on repeat for hours... just ask my college roommate.

Vera Bradley Garment Bag and Large Duffel and in Night and Day

You can't go wrong with this travel combo! This Vera Bradley luggage set belongs to my friend Kate. I loved the garment bag, and after she raved about hers I had to get one too. I was lucky to snag one on sale in Calypso, a navy blue pattern, while I was on the Vineyard. I didn't mind that my duffel didn't match but the current Vera Bradley sale quickly changed my mind. Set complete.

Hope you are all having a good week. Counting down for the weekend yet?
