Look for Less: Distressed Denim Shorts

Forever 21 Distressed Denim Shorts $34.90 (Free Shipping Over $21)

Get these while you can, they are back in stock. I had been looking for a pair of cuffed distressed denim shorts similar to the Rag & Bone pair featured below by a couple of my favorite fashion bloggers. Short... but not too short. I already own a pair and wanted to get a back up... just in case my foot goes through one of the holes by mistake. (That sadly happened to a brand new pair of AG jeans.)

Here are a few cuffed distressed options at different price points...

TGIF

TGIF! I'm looking forward to spending the holiday weekend on the Cape with friends. Hope you have some fun plans, too.

God help me avoid all the sales. I'm trying to save more over the next few months, wish me luck. But first, I had a Rue La La credit waiting patiently to be spent....  in true basic fashion I caved and got a Daniel Wellington watch (Women's St. Andews in Rose Gold). I probably won't wear it often until the fall, but I couldn't pass the deal up. See all of them here, including some cute striped bands.

Update: Since the Rue La La boutique is closed - you can find the watch here. Keep it in mind for upcoming Friends and Family sales!

Have a great weekend!

Wedding Weekend

Dress: BCBG "Jaqueline". Clutch: Zara. Shoes: Christian Louboutin.
(I bought the dress awhile ago but was able to find on sale here in a few sizes).

Last weekend we attended Vicky and Bobby's wedding at the Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, New Jersey. Thankfully the weather held out for a beautiful outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour.

Selfie on the way to the ceremony. It's hard to keep a straight face when your friends are making fun of you. (My lipstick is Chanel Rouge Coco in Roussy)

Mr. and Mrs.!

I loved Vicky's Kate Spade heels and open back lace dress.

My Lehigh gals.

Pink and green centerpieces.

How great were these personalized do not disturb sign in the wedding welcome bags?!

Congratulations, Vicky and Bobby! xo

kate spade Lemon Street Coin Purse $78 $29

kate spade's current surprise sale has some cute lemon accessories.

P.S. Jack Rogers is also having a Memorial Day Sale. I love the silver/gold combo!

Peonies, please!

I don't mind that #peonies are taking over all social media outlets. Back when I was wedding planning, unprompted, my florist told me peonies would be out of season in September. She just knew I was a peony girl.

If you are lucky, you might find Mrs. Meyers limited edition peony scented cleaning products. Since I got tipped off I haven't had much luck finding any at Target to stock pile. Just this lone dish soap. I first started using the brand because I thought they looked good on my counter top... and now they are my favorite.

Palm Beach

I covered the polo match... now for the rest of our Palm Beach vacation back in April.

We stayed for a total of five nights - the first few days were spent at Kimpton's Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa on the beach and the last two at The Chesterfield Palm Beach. The best part of The Tideline was that it was next door to The Four Seasons, where we spent the majority of our time! The Chesterfield was really cute and I am happy that we switched it up the last couple of nights.

Overall it was a very relaxing trip. The Tideline offered free yoga classes on Saturday and Sunday morning and I hung out at the beach while Ted golfed. He left really early so he would be back around lunchtime. I can only be in the sun for an hour or two before I get bored, so when he returned we would head over to The Four Seasons pool and bar. We spent an afternoon at the spa, window shopped along Worth Avenue, went to the polo match, drove around to check out all the amazing homes and ate at some great restaurants. Vacation done right!

This maxi dress from Victoria's Secret is one of my favorite pieces to pack for warm weather. I originally bought it for my honeymoon. In Florida I wore it out to dinner...

and the next day threw it on over my swimsuit at the beach. I need it in another color.

What's a trip to Palm Beach without stopping by The Breakers?! How do I even begin to describe it... breathtaking! Everything is over the top in the best way. Those flowers!

Flagler Steakhouse lived up to the rave reviews.

I broke out my "vintage" Lilly for our afternoon at The Seafood Bar.

Monday's off are THE BEST. I had the pool to myself at The Chesterfield.

Enjoying my wine at Būccan.
(This Nanette Lepore dress is on Rue La La today for a steal and available here, here and here).

I got some excellent tips from readers and friends! Thanks to their recommendations I made key reservations in advance. Since we didn't get around to everything we will just have to go back.

Some of the highlights...

Jove Kitchen & Bar: This Italian restaurant is located within The Four Seasons. Their main restaurant, Graze, was completely booked so we gave this a try and were pleasantly surprised. We had octopus to start and split the mushroom ravioli and branzino.
Flagler Steakhouse: Located at The Breakers golf course. Ted went for steak, big surprise, and I had the shrimp scampi appetizer as my main dish.
The Seafood Bar: Another spot at The Breakers. The bar is a fish tank! Fantastic cocktails. The bartender told us they would be renovating later this year... I can't wait to see what they do.
Leopard Lounge: Located at The Chesterfield. I was looking around for Don Draper.... I really felt like I was in another era. I had the lobster risotto and it did not disappoint.
Būccan: This was the hot spot in town and reservations are key. 1/2 off bottles of wine on Monday... by chance I picked the right night!

Until next time, Palm Beach. xoxo
