Blue and White Monday: Turtley Awesome

Hope you had a great weekend! If you're reading here you probably already know about Lilly Pulitzer's After Party Sale. The biggest Lilly sale of the season. Something you might not know.... Saks typically matches these prices (or comes pretty close). Check both sites for the best discount. You might luck out if something you wanted already sold out on LP.

I picked up a few shifts for Lexi to wear next summer from Saks. This "Turtley Awesome" periwinkle is my favorite. I think by the end of the day I'll pull the trigger on the matching dress for me.

Blue and White Monday: Mark D. Sikes

Dress: MDS Stripes. Nails: Essie Geranium.

I was a minute late getting this posted for Monday... but we will still call it B&W Monday. When I first saw this blue floral dress on Julia Engel back in the spring (see her Instagram and blog posts) I fell in love. At the time, I didn't know that one of my favorite interior designers to follow, Mark D. Sikes, also had a fashion line but it all made sense. It wouldn't be the first time something I was wearing could blend right into my home decor. But after all, isn't blue and white a neutral?!

I secured it from Rent the Runway for our summer vacation... it was perfect for a date night out in Chatham. I don't want to send it back! I'm planning to hold onto it for our trip to the Vineyard later this month... which is why I'm sharing it now. Get your hands on it!

I've spent countless hours researching his projects online for ideas for my home and I never tire of looking through his book, Beautiful. If you are a blue and white lover, it is a must have in your collection. Endless inspiration.

It was hard to pick just one image... but this room has it all. Blue and white, brass, prints, woven textures, books... everything I love.

See a gallery of his West Hollywood home in this House Beautiful gallery. While I keep dreaming of a kitchen renovation, in the meantime I do have blue and white striped dish towels (I have an endless supply of these from William Sonoma) and ginger jars to keep me happy. :)
