Friday's Fancies: Pastels

I know it's a holiday weekend and I should be posting some cute little pastel Easter dress... but I'm going the opposite direction. It's my idea of the perfect outfit for running weekend errands. In general I like to either dress up or dress sporty... I'm bad at the in between! The Victoria's Secret Pink line has really grown on me recently and it's hard to hold out for their semi annual sales. It's silly, but I only like to buy things that are branded with PINK if they actually are pink.

Looking forward to spending time with my family this weekend and also taking care of some wedding to-dos. I'll be heading into Manhattan on Saturday to shop for wedding bands and hopefully look at shoes on Madison Avenue if I can trick Ted into heading that direction.

Have a great holiday! xo

What I'm Loving

via Instagram (Follow me - msslindsay)

It's no secret I love blue and white. Every once in awhile I will search on Craigslist for random things like ginger jars... yesterday was my lucky day! I called the seller immediately and was able to set up a time to pick them up. You can never be too careful... Ted was unable to accompany me so I did a mini background check before going and sent the address and phone numbers to my family in case I disappeared on my blue and white quest. Anyway, the seller was happy they found a good home after all the "freaks" she had been dealing with on Craigslist during her moving sale. Ha!

My friend Danielle hosted an awesome girls weekend. We thought it would be fun to have a limo drive us around the city for this lovely "occasion"... why not? We went to dinner at Salinas followed by bar hopping. We quoted the SNL Moet and Chandon sketch all night. Thanks, champagne!

I love my monogram necklace from Max and Chloe (and drinking champs with my MOH). I ordered mine with an 18" chain, inspired by my favorite fashion blogger Atlantic-Pacific. I will need a new one soon!

Make time for your yoga! Loving my Wednesday night class. It allows me to de-stress and rejuvenate in the middle of the busy work week.

Team Yolanda

via Yolanda.com
I have been busy working, wedding planning and watching episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills over and over (and over again). My favorite cast member... Yolanda Foster.

She's a straight shooter. I wouldn't mess with her...

via Twitter

My favorite scenes are those shot at her gorgeous home. This video shows her putting together the above centerpiece for a dinner party. I love her obsession with lemons.

"I think I was born organized. I think it's something in my brain. I have a huge need to stay organized. When I am organized and there is no stuff on the floor and no clutter it gives me energy to create new things."

Like most of the housewives, she has great style. I could post pictures of her shoe closet... but instead I'm sharing her refrigerator. Unreal!

Who is your favorite Beverly Hills Real Housewife?

Tortoise Sunnies

via Instagram (Follow me - msslindsay)
Bigger is better.

Since I haven't been able to find any clothes lately I had my mind set on getting some new sunnies. I was close to getting a pair of Ray Ban aviators... but popped into the Fossil retail store (which I don't think I have ever been in before) and found these. I have another pair by Fossil from TJ Maxx that I bought on a road trip when I had left mine at home. I like their styles and can't complain about the price point!

Last year I ordered the popular Karen Walker Perfect Day sunglasses. Unfortunately they did not look as good on me...

Tory Burch TY9010 (interchangeable logo) $175

Another tortoise pair I think are great. If you are a sunglass snob, these are you for!
(I almost bought these last year... but after going to three Sunglass Huts none of them had the extra removable logo. I had an in store only coupon and wasn't going to buy them unless I had both!)

Follow on Bloglovin

With the end of Google Reader quickly approaching I have decided to follow blogs through blog lovin'. More on that next week...

P.S. I learned from Fairfield County 411 that Juliska is having a pop-up warehouse starting Saturday in Fairfield. You will find me there!

Juliska

Juliska Jardins du Monde Ceramic Collection

While I was gone I was busy researching and registering. The first place I registered was Juliska for my dinnerware. Juliska is sold at Bloomingdales and Neiman Marcus, however I opted to register with them directly since I live near their flagship store and their completion program includes a 15% discount (most are 10%). Brides to be, I recommend you check this out! Tell them I sent you :)

Villandry Flatware

Berry and Thread Casserole Dish

I was torn between the Jardins Du Monde and Berry and Thread patterns. I decided on Jardins for plates and bowls with matching Villandry flatware and some larger pieces that were only available in Berry and Thread. I wanted something versatile for everyday and more formal settings. If I ever want to use fine china, my mom has got me covered.

Juliska has warehouses twice a year in Stamford. I know someday when I have a house to store everything that I will go crazy. I absolutely love their Classic Bamboo collection and took this picture at their sale back in the fall. I was completely overwhelmed with things I didn't need but wanted. I'll take... everything.

Attention blue and white fans... there is a new pattern coming out just for you. Juliska hasn't released the images online yet, but here's a peak from their Spring/Summer 2013 catalog. Lovely!

Any Juliska fans out there?
