Made in New England - Port Winsor

One of my favorite things about blogging is learning about new preppy brands. I was really excited to be in touch with Katie Gordon and Lindsay Jeanloz, founders of Port Winsor.

The Watch Hill Tunic $165

Calling all tunic lovers! The attention to detail is amazing - my favorite being a full length hidden zipper so you won't smudge your makeup putting it on. I think it's the perfect classic top to add to your wardrobe.

Their designs are hand sewn in my beloved land of New England, where they both hail from. The duo was kind enough to share what they love most about our area, enjoy!

Lindsay

• Apple picking in the Fall on a crisp but sunny day.  And then stopping in the gift shop to purchase apple butter, apple cider donuts, caramel apples and anything else made out of apple - I have a hard time controlling myself when it comes to homemade apple products!
• Cook's Lobster House on Bailey Island in Maine.  When I was at Bowdoin, I visited this spot as often as possible.  They have the best coleslaw (who would have imagined coleslaw could compete with lobster?) and chocolate after-dinner mints with a candy coating in a basket on the way out.  I haven't been back in a few years, and I hope nothing has changed since I was there last.
• Strolling down Charles Street in Beacon Hill with friends, especially during the holidays when everything is so festive!  There are so many terrific boutiques where you find the perfect gifts and really put a dent in your holiday shopping.  

Katie

• My family because almost all of my family is located here!  My husband and I moved back to New England after living in San Francisco for four years and it's such a treat to now be a drive away from our parents, grandparents, siblings, nieces and nephew.
• A true New England crisp fall day.  I grew up in CT and loved being outside on fall days when the air was crisp and the leaves were vibrant hues of orange and red.
• The antiquity and how everywhere seems to have such a rich history.  I think this sense of history has helped shape the classic, preppy, and comfortable New England style that people have here, both in how they dress and how they decorate.

I've got my eye on this solid tunic, love it!
