Dunkin' Donuts K-Cups have finally arrived! DD is around every corner in Connecticut, but unfortunately not on my way to work in NYC. Now I'm in the market for my own Keurig coffee machine, help please! I only have experience with the industrial model. I've been hesitant to purchase a Keurig for home despite its convenience because I associate the popular Green Mountain K-Cups with the office kitchen. I know there are other brands available... but I was holding out for my favorite!
Sold only in stores! 14 pack ~ $12
I would have never considered Keurigs just a New England "thing" but apparently Dunkin' Brands CEO Nigel Travis described them as an "East Coast phenomenon."* I think he's getting the machines and coffee mixed up. I know the tagline is "America Runs on Dunkin" but would say New England sprints laps. What do you think is most popular in your area?
So stocked about this:)
ReplyDeleteoh my, I must tell my sister when she gets back from her honeymoon..she will be so excited! Thanks for letting us know!

yum seriously love their coffee and obvi their donuts!!!
ReplyDeleteI actually tried these this morning! We got a Keurig recently as an engagement gift and when my fiance saw the sign in the Dunkin Donuts window, we picked up a box of K-cups.
ReplyDeleteOur Keurig is the B70 Platinum edition and I'm loving it so far. My fiance's parents have the B70 and have used it for three years without problems. Ours will brew five different cup sizes and makes ice coffee too. They're pricey but so worth it, especially if you want to brew just one cup at a time straight into your mug or to-go cup.

This is amazing news -- thanks for sharing!!! love me some DD!
ReplyDeleteI went to school in Boston, so obviously DD was a phenomenon up there! DC is definitely more Starbucks country. I don't drink coffee but I do love a doughnut, so I miss having a Dunks on every corner.

I'm obsessed with Dunks! Especially they're iced tea (unsweetened, 2 lemons) Every summer they run a promo where any size is 99 cents. Yes please!
ReplyDeleteI have also been back and forth about getting a Keurig...I had no idea they were a "East Coast phenomenon"! xx
ReplyDeleteI want a Keurig so badly! Especially if DD is involved! Marylanders love DD, too :) It tastes delish and it's so reasonable. The sprinkle strawberry donuts are the BEST!
ReplyDeleteI think that CEO was mixed up too. Keurigs are very popular out here in Cali. There was one at my old job and I miss it so much. I just can't commit to buying one for myself.
ReplyDeleteI think Dunkins is definitely an East Coast thing. I remember only seeing/going to one here in California and that was in Southern California a long time ago. I remember when I went to Boston, Dunkins were on every other street corner. In Northern California we have Starbucks and Peet's; and in Southern California there is Coffee Bean and Starbucks.
LOVE Dunkin Donuts! I lived in CT for almost 16 years before moving down south. Sadly, for the longest time there were no DD's! I'm so glad that we're finally get them down here. Slowly but surely! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so obsessed with my Keurig! My favorite K-cups are the Cafe Escapes Chai Tea Latte. There must be some truth to the New England thing, I've actually never seen a DD. I know one just opened up in Memphis, I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI'd say Caribou and Dunkin are the most popular in my part of the Midwest. Of course, Starbucks is taking over the world, but I love me some DD!
ReplyDeletewe dont have many dunkin donuts in Virginia but on the military base where my family lives we have 2!! I love their coffee and its so much better/cheaper than starbucks
ReplyDeleteI have traveled all over the country and I have lived in Maine, NYC, Florida and the OBX, and it is by far a phenomenon in New England only! I definitely run on Dunkin :)
ReplyDeletewe are mostly starbucks in Cali but this is a great gift for my family in New England...thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, love my keurig (in California) but there isn't a Dunken donuts in sight. My friend is an East Coast girl & she is always at a loss for coffee when she visits. I tend to favor Coffeee Bean (but thats probably just what I'm used to.) I have the Keurig where you can control how concentrated the output is (so you can make iced coffee) and I would highly recommend it! :)
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to try these! I love Keurig. I've been running on Dunkin' this week during recruitment, but I'm trying to stick to tea!
