I love when I find a DIY that I can actually execute without delay. Most get filed away for someday never (think cooking and interior decorating). The sock bun ... voila! I came across the idea on Pinterest via Three Pink Dots but needed a video - this tutorial is really helpful. Am I the last to catch on to this?

H&M $29.95
Currently loving elbow patches. This button down just screamed Adirondacks and I will wear it this winter. I will say that I had mixed emotions while buying it at H&M... same feeling when I bought my first pair of

I don't like to exude negative energy but I need to purge myself of these thoughts. I am not loving:Anything to do with the Kardashians. Especially Kim's "feelings" - enough.
On the topic of celebs...Lindsay Lohan unless I'm watching Mean Girls.
Daylight savings.
Cropped tops and sweaters. I tried... it's not happening for me.
Working in Times Square during the holiday season. I can barely get myself around Manhattan let alone tourists.
And that is all for this evening. Have a great night!
Love the bun! And mimosas are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree - Im over hearing about the Kardashians and Linsey Lohan.
Your sock bun looks great! I have to wait for my hair to grow out before I try it :(
ReplyDeleteLove your sock bun!! It looks gorgeous with your blonde hair and so classy! Must. Try. Stat!
ReplyDeleteI wish my hair was long enough for the sock bun! I'm also so tired of hearing about celebrities, especially Kim!
ReplyDeleteOooh I'm gonna have to try the sock bun- I'd never heard of that before! Thnx!
ReplyDeleteI would drink a mimosa at every meal if I could- does that make me an alchy? Oh well, truth hurts! haha and OH MY GAH, KIM K. every time something about her comes on E! I find my self screaming at my TV about how much nobody cares..
ReplyDeleteI need to get out of the house.. this comment is making me sound a bit cray-cray!
I have been obsessed about elbow patches too. Too bad I can't make up my mind which ONE item I want to get with the patches!
ReplyDeleteSo on the same page with the Kardashians, enough's enough

I love Mimosas!! and I am sick of Kim K as well!
ReplyDeleteYou're bun is amazing!! I have such thick hair that I have a hard time wearing it up (too heavy and never stays!). Elbow patch shirt is super cute-- I just got a blazer from H&M! Sooo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteOh and I couldn't again with you more of what I've had "enough" of too!!
Stumbled across your blog and I absolutely love it. It is almost like you are the east coast version of me (I live in California). I can't wait to continue to read what you post!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've ever heard of the sock bun - I'm totally going to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteumm LOVE your sock bun!! The messy look makes it look even better!! xoxo
ReplyDeletesooo with you on being tired of hearing about Kim's feelings... I think it's funny myself, which I guess is mean, but... I can't help it. and I agree with you on cropped tops too, didn't we all decide several years ago that they are awful...
ReplyDeleteI just did my first sock bun this week!!
ReplyDeleteYour bun looks fantastic! It's always nice when DIY projects you read about actually end up working, and end up working that beautifully. As far as I'm concerned the Kardashians can move to the island of misfit celebrities where we will never hear about her again.
ReplyDeleteYour bun is super cute! I've been afraid to try it, so your def not the last one to do it it!
ReplyDeleteLove this bun! Thanks for sharing!
