Fall Hurricane

The new apartment is finally furnished! I'm really happy with how everything came together and look forward to sharing. Once I had all of the furniture (we were sans coffee table for weeks) I focused on the details - I needed a fall touch. Since I'm in a small space and don't have much room to store seasonal decor this hurricane jar comes in handy. You may have seen my summer and Easter versions. It's so easy to switch up.

Gold spray painted (real) acorns. You can also buy a set from Pottery Barn.

I mixed in some potpourri with the acorns.

I'm already thinking about what I will do for the holidays... I will be switching it out while listening to Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving.

  1. I have a similar look on my coffee table with the Pottery Barn acorns! I also have a gold pumpkin on our bar table - I'm all about the gold this fall!

  2. Decorating the apartment is definitely an ongoing project. I'm still adding little things to mine here and there

  4. This llols so pretty but just be careful with the acorns. Sometimes they harvest maggots inside. A friend had some in her home as decorations and unbeknownst to her found a pile of little unwanted bugs all over her table. Not pleasant. Hopefully spray painted is better than au naturale.
