Easter Recipes

This asparagus soup is a first course favorite that my mom has made for Easter the past couple of years. Next time she said it would be best to make ahead of time and heat up since it's time consuming.

I can't say I helped but taste test... verdict was delicious!

Moving right along to dessert. I was actually involved with the making of these carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. (A big step up from Funfetti. There was a box of Duncan Hines carrot cake mix and frosting ready just in case something went wrong.)

I used a recipe from Martha Stewart's Cupcakes, which can be found online here. The recipe yields 24 but I ended up with 33.

This bunny cupcake stand is from Pottery Barn and sold out quickly. Due to popularity I have a feeling they will bring this one back next year.

I skipped on the recommended toasted coconut topping and added a trio of Lifesaver pastel jellybeans. Yum!

Hope you had a wonderful Easter! xo

Friday Five

via Instagram
1. I said YES! Can't wait to be in one of my one of best friend's wedding on the Cape in September. Could the package be any cuter?

2. I quickly went through a large sample of this primer after a rec from a friend. It's AMAZING and best of all formulated without all the nasty stuff (parabens).

3. Valentine's Day pressies! Two dozen roses definitely cheered up my boring desk. They didn't arrive until almost 4PM, so I had given up hope at that point. Teddy asked if I had received a package literally just as the mailman was walking across the floor toward my desk.

4. I can't even begin to tell you how much I want this clutch from Shopbop for summer! It would pair perfectly with Lilly, don't you think?

Pottery Barn Bunny Cupcake Stand

5. Moving on to the next holiday. This adorable stand is now sold out online, but you can probably find in stores. I bought one for my mom to add another tier on her glass cake stand. Mini carrot cupcakes?!

Have a great weekend! xo

Edible Arrangement

April = Easter = Pastels. My own edible arrangement. Easter falls later this year so an extra bag of Jellybeans was a must.

someecards.com - I trust you not to pull any April Fool's Day pranks because I trust you'll still think it's March

Happy Friday! Hoping I don't get pranked AGAIN today... I like to think I'm hard to fool.

P.S. I would like to thank fellow New Englander Bridget at BKR Fashion for passing along the Stylish Blogger Award. You can see my answers here. Be sure to check her out!
