While Teddy and I stopped in Newport for the day over the last holiday weekend our friends brought us to the Cliff Walk along the coast to attempt some sightseeing. Unfortunately it was so foggy we weren't able to enjoy the views.
The Cliff Walk stretches 3.5 miles and includes a few tunnels. We were all surprised when a man walking in front of us whipped out a harmonica and played some tunes as we walked through one.
You would have never known the Gilded Age mansions were there with all the fog. I guess that means I will have to go back! I would also love to tour the mansions. Has anyone ever taken a tour and did you have a favorite?

Thanks for all the comments!! I definitely watched the Bachelorette last night. I'm sure Ashley feels really stupid since she was warned. I'm sure it was hard for her to believe that someone would go on the show unless they had good intentions. I read that Chris Harrison said she doesn't want Bentley at the Men Tell All...we'll see if ABC gives up those ratings though! Anyway. I hope she keeps JP around for awhile, he seems really sweet. I love that top pic with all the fog. Those mansions look really neat, definitely worth a trip back to see those! Hope you have a great day! -e

ReplyDeleteI just did this a few weeks ago...and even though the weather was nice then, I still made sure to do some shopping as well (and eating, the new cupcake shop on Broadway was delicious)
ReplyDeleteI've toured a couple of the mansions in the past and I have to recommend all of them! Judging from your blog, I think you would definitely love the experience. I felt like I was transported to another time and place and I can't wait to visit them again.
